Michael Cumpsty, Tom Pelphrey and Jay Russell will complete the cast of the upcoming Broadway transfer of End of the Rainbow, Peter Quilter’s biographical play about the last days of the legendary Judy Garland. About to make her comeback at a local nightclub, with her loyal pianist Anthony and a new young fiancé Mickey Deans (Pelphrey) at her side, the actress battles a tornado of drugs and alcohol. The show features some of Garland's most memorable songs, including “The Man That Got Away,” “Come Rain or Come Shine,” “The Trolley Song” and “Over the Rainbow.”

He is a 2006 and 2008 Daytime Emmy Award winner for Outstanding Younger Actor for his work on CBS's Guiding Light, and his screen credits include Spike Lee’s Birds of America, The Girl Is in Trouble, Junction, Tiger Lily Road, and Excuse Me for Living.
Russell (various roles) was seen on Broadway in The Play What I Wrote, and off‐Broadway in Our Town, Around the World in 80 Days, The Normal Heart, Private Jokes, Public Places, The Green Heart and more.
End of the Rainbow debuted in London in November 2010 and received rave reviews for the star turn by Bennett, who will make her Broadway debut as Garland. The play will have a pre-Broadway engagement featuring the entire Broadway cast at the Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis from January 28-March 11, 2012.
